Case Study: Reducing Emergency Room Admissions

Reducing Emergency Room (ER) Admissions, Readmissions and Cost Through Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM) Case Study

Remote patient monitoring (RPM) is a growing sector in the digital health space for its potential to proactively manage chronic conditions for an aging patient population. Netrin Health’s objective was to evaluate emergency room admissions, readmissions rate and cost trends from RPM users with elevated blood pressure (BP) or hypertension. We aimed to establish whether using RPM for home blood pressure monitoring and care management was effective in decreasing emergency room (ER) admissions, readmissions and cost for those users or not.
