Press Release: Driving Value-Based Care: Netrin Health Joins Maryland’s EQIP Program

Reston, VA – December 22,2025 Netrin Health announced today that it has been selected as a vendor partner for the Practice Transformation Grant (PTG) Program under Maryland’s Episode Quality Improvement Program (EQIP). The PTG Program is designed to support participating practices in strengthening care delivery capabilities and advancing episode-based value-based care across Maryland.

EQIP operates under Maryland’s Total Cost of Care (TCOC) Model and engages non-hospital Medicare practitioners in episode-based quality and cost accountability. By establishing clinical and financial targets for defined episodes of care, EQIP aims to improve outcomes for Medicare beneficiaries while reducing unnecessary healthcare spending. Since the program’s launch in 2022, EQIP participation has grown steadily, with more than 3,200 practitioners across over 40 specialties participating statewide in 2024.

Through the PTG Program, the Maryland Health Services Cost Review Commission (HSCRC) is investing in data analytics, health information technology optimization, care delivery improvement, and practice transformation to support EQIP participants. As a selected PTG vendor, Netrin Health will provide analytics, operational insights, and hands-on transformation support to participating practices aligned with EQIP’s episode-based goals.

Netrin Health’s work under the PTG Program will support selected EQIP participants while offering practice transformation capabilities designed to be applicable across a broad range of specialty settings. The company’s approach has been developed to support episode-based care in specialties such as pain management, orthopedics, rheumatology, osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis care, as well as primary care, and can be adapted to other EQIP-aligned specialty practices as appropriate.

The PTG Program reflects Maryland’s commitment to translating value-based policy into practical, practice-level improvement,” said Arumani Manisundaram, CEO of Netrin Health. “We look forward to supporting EQIP participants by applying proven analytics and practice transformation capabilities that help practices improve care delivery, performance, and long-term sustainability within episode-based models.”

Practice transformation is most effective when it is practical, data-driven, and grounded in how practices operate day to day,” said Suneksha KC, Chief Transformation Officer and Executive Director at Netrin Health. “Through the PTG Program, our focus is on working alongside EQIP participants to translate episode-level data into meaningful workflow improvements that support better patient outcomes and sustainable performance for practices.
